An unshaven man-child wearing a hoodie with a headset permanently attached to his head and drinking energy drinks to stay up all weekend while taking on fellow gamers around the world?

Gamers don’t always look the way you expect! Did you know that the percentage of gamers aged 55-64 grew by 32% in two years?

More and more people are turning to gaming as a way to escape, relax, and socialise.

They're investing in serious computer hardware and consoles and they're also a lucrative target audience for marketers and brands.

Thulani Sishi
Manager, Goliath Gaming

Thulani Sishi (29) is a manager of Goliath Gaming, co-founder of GameDock, an esports commentator, MC, Twitch streamer, Youtuber and content creator within the South African gaming space.

In his teens, Thulani was a semi pro rugby player for the Sharks Academy before venturing into the world of gaming and esports. Known fondly in the gaming community as "LIGHTERTZ" he has been in the gaming and esports industry for +17 years starting off as a competitor in multiple titles, most notably Counter Strike. During his competitive gaming career he travelled the world representing South Africa at ESWC France and Canada in 2014 and 2015 respectively, for various gaming teams such as Energy Esports and Bravado Gaming. He then went on to co-founding a well-known and loved esports team in South Africa, Big5 Esports.

At present Thulani is a co-founder of GameDock - branded content creators, streaming, casting and more within the gaming space. He is also a manager of Goliath Gaming, a Multi Gaming Organisation featuring a FIFA, Fortnite, Street Fighter, Tekken, StarCraft and Counter-Strike squad, and handles various key operations for the team including: daily operations, business management, player management, player development, brand collaborations and marketing, and more.

Thulani is passionate about the gaming and esports world and is an advocate for showing the youth that there are many incredible career opportunities in the gaming and esports space.

Nick Holden is an experienced co-owner with a demonstrated history of working in the entertainment industry. Skilled in Event Management, Video Game Journalism, Marketing, Email Marketing, and Video Editing. Strong business development professional graduated from Stellenbosch University.

Julio "Beast" Bianchi
Competitive FIFA player

Made history by becoming the first South African player, and first African participant, to qualify for the FIFAe World Cup.Julio ”Beast” Bianchi (24 years old) is a competitive FIFA player (on PlayStation) from Cape Town, South Africa. Beast, who used to be a semi-pro footballer, competed in the FIFA eWorld Cup Global Series Playoffs in Amsterdam in 2018 where he impressively beat 2X world champion, August Agge Rosenmeier, and finished off in the top 64 in the world on PS4 in the tournament. 

In 2021, Julio made FIFA history by being in the first team from South Africa to ever qualify and compete in the official FIFAe Club World Cup, and was also the first African and South African FIFA player to qualify for the FIFAe World Cup. On South African soil, Beast has won many top local tournaments and ended the FIFA20 season as #3 on PS4 in South Africa and #155 in the world on PS4 in the official FIFA20 rankings. 

Beast is signed to one of South Africa’s top MGO’s, Goliath Gaming, and is the captain of their FIFA squad. Julio ranked #2 in South Africa on the official FIFA21 Global Series Leaderboard. In April 2021, Julio qualified to represent South Africa as part of the eBafana Bafana squad in the official FIFAe Nations online qualifiers, and has represented his country in eNations in 2022 as well. 

Outside of competitive gaming, Beast was studying accounting at CPUT in Cape Town and has completed his degree.
